recently been established. A National office will be in place in 2000 in
Gauteng.

Offered
Childline Gauteng offers the following services:

24 hour toll free line
providing support for victims of physical, emotional and sexual abuse,
families of victims, adult survivors of sexual abuse and court mandated and
other perpetrators of child abuse. |

The Treament Centre offers
face-to-face individual, family, group and play therapy for victims /
survivors and their families. |

Referral services for all
child related problems. |

The Education/Prevention
Project offers school talks to school going children to assist in preventing
and disclosing abuse. |

Workshops for all interested
stakeholders in the field of violence against children. |
 |
Forensic assessments for
survivors of physical and sexual abuse. |
 |
Court support and preparation
for survivors of physical and sexual abuse. |
 |
Community safe houses for
children up to the age of 18 years who have been removed from their homes in
an emergency. |

Community based centres in
Tembisa and Katlehong. |
 |
Advocacy through networking
with all stakeholders to promote the support and care of all children in
need and challenging laws and practices that support child abuse. |
